OUR ROOMS

 Babies & Wobblers
Age 12 weeks- 2 Years (Staff Ratio 1-3)

Long-lasting benefits

At Kindergarten Kids we know that with a stimulating environment and positive relationships your baby will reach their full potential. Early experiences greatly influence the way a child develops. At Kindergarten Kids your baby will experience lots of sensory and outdoor play, treasure baskets (exploring everyday objects) singing and exploratory opportunities both indoors and outdoors. Our lovely baby room staff will provide stimulating activities that encourage your baby’s learning and they work hard to create a "home-from-home" environment that provides a gentle transition from home to nursery life, and has lots of cuddles.
We give lots of time, space and encouragement to help your baby master new skills
We are committed to creating a warm and trusting atmosphere. With a ratio of 1 to 3, the baby room is the cosiest room at Kindergarten Kids. Our focus is to nurture relationships between the child and their key worker so that your baby feels happy and safe within their environment. Every effort is made when babies join us to continue with routines established at home, from sleeps to bottle feeds to snuggling teddy.

TODDLERS
Age 2-3 (Staff Ratio 1-4)

Foundation for education

Toddlers are naturally inquisitive as they move from the relative quiet of the Baby room to a more structured daily routine. A typical day for our  toddlers is filled with, stimulating, age-appropriate activities and materials. Our early childhood development toddler curriculum focuses on eye-hand coordination, motor development and problem solving.

The Toddler daily routine includes:
  • Interactive play, music, and dance.
  • Age appropriate themed arts and crafts.
  •  Outdoor time to encourage social engagement in plenty of fresh air and sunshine.
  • Age-appropriate fitness toys and toddler exercises to keep toddlers on the move.
  • Self-help skills such as washing hands, tidying up after themselves are an important part of the routine.
  • Good manners and rewards that teach the importance of good behavior, sharing and kindness are encouraged.

This stage also marks the beginning of a child’s potty-training journey. Our staff frequently asks each child if they have to go to the potty and then guides them through the process. Before you know it, you have a potty-trained child.
Our curriculum helps toddlers explore, and it nurtures their increasing need to communicate. By this point in their early childhood development, toddlers have expanded their language skills, and we help to enhance their ability to communicate verbally.

PRE-SCHOOLERS
Age 3-4 (Staff ratio 1-8)

LET THEIR IMAGINATIONS RUN WILD

Preschoolers are growing up—potty trained and ready to conquer the world! At this stage, they absorb all of the information around them and are eager to master the new skills they acquire. That’s why we equip our preschool room with challenging equipment and toys to help satisfy the children’s appetite for knowledge.  Exclusive to the pre-school room is our fabulous "Imagination Avenue" wall graphics to enhance their roleplaying about the world around them
A typical pre-school day will include

  • Group Circle time for Stories and songs
  • Daily outside time for physical play and daily walks in the park (Weather Permitting)
  •  Advanced age appropriate arts and crafts based on our monthly theme.
  • Immersive role play is encouraged at our Imagination Avenue.
  •  activities that encourage problem solving and critical  thinking skills such as puzzles and construction toys.
  • Music , Movement and Dance

Meal times are a chance to develop important social skills and postive reinforcement of the importance of good manners  as children prepare for taking the step to "big school"
